How We Work

Octavia Dickinson is an interior design studio based in Gloucestershire, UK. We specialise in project work and one-to-one consultations for residential and commercial projects – in town and country. Octavia is known for her joyful, decorative and timeless across to interiors and her work is recognised as one of House & Garden UK’s Top 100 Interior Design Studios.

Project Work

Led by Octavia and her small in-house backroom team, our studio predominantly works on full-time projects for a handful of clients at a time. If you choose Octavia Dickinson to decorate your house, we strongly believe that Octavia should personally lead all projects, which is why we only take on a manageable amount of projects.

Our studio works on residential and commercial projects in both town and country up and down the UK. We are used to being part of the client’s team on their project, working closely with project managers, architects, building contractors, and joiners, amongst others.

Bespoke 1:1 Consultation

This new service has been launched by Octavia to fill the gap for those who don’t want to hire a full-time interior designer, but still need expert input and advice on interior design – from furnishings and fabrics, to budget advice.

Octavia will offer her time to customers via a 1:1 Bespoke Virtual Consultation. Each 60-minute consultation with Octavia is charged at £450 + VAT includes:

  • Email correspondence with Octavia’s team prior to your scheduled consultation listing the assistance you need on the project including any Q&As, imagery & design info you have, that will be discussed on the call.
  • One 60-minute voice or video call with Octavia to discuss your project, and her expert advice.

Who is the consultation with?
The consultation is with Octavia via video link, and Octavia’s small team will listen in to ensure all aspects of the call are jotted down and emailed to you post-call.

How does the consultation work? 
The more prepared you are, the better, which is why we advise you to download the “How To Prep” pdf list, which bullet points all how you can prepare for the call to get the most out of it. Such as sharing floor plans, images, fixtures, fittings, fabrics, furnishings, budgets, etc, all before the call.

What should I prepare for the consultation?
The best way to prepare for the consultation is by downloading our “How To Prep” list and having all your questions and queries written down and sent to us before the video call.

What do I receive after the consultation?
You will receive a summary email outlining all the areas discussed, Octavia’s advice in writing, and any relevant links to fabrics, furnishings, fittings, etc., so you can reference them easily later.

What are the added benefits of a consultation? 
Yes, we offer an exclusive 20% discount on our fabric and wallpaper collections to use post-consultation. This one-off discount can only be used after your consultation and will expire exactly one year after your consultation date.
